Meet Our Presenter

Kathy Reid

Rev. Kathy Reid is the Executive Director of the Family Abuse Center in Waco, Texas. Her past experience includes serving as Associate General Secretary for the Church of the Brethren, as well as nearly six years as the Executive Director of the Association of Brethren Caregivers.

Kathy is the author of several books including Preventing Child Sexual Abuse: A Religious Education Curriculum for Children Ages 5-8 and Preventing Child Sexual Abuse: A Religious Education Curriculum for Children Ages 9-12. Kathy has twenty years’ experience training congregations, pastors, and individuals around issues of child protection.

Kathy was ordained in the Church of the Brethren in 1988 and in the Mennonite Church USA in 1990.
