What Batterers Need from Clergy & Their Faith Community (2015) - RECORDED

— Categories: ,

For some thirty years, battered women and their advocates have been confronting the epidemic of men's violence against women. We have learned that survivor safety and empowerment are of primary importance. But - within the context of survivor safety - what is our responsibility to the batterer? We know that in order to provide meaningful safety and justice for survivors, we also have to hold their batterers accountable. What does accountability mean? What does accountability look like in pastoral care and congregational setting? Presenter: Dr. Nancy Murphy
